What We Do
The Cabinet Secretariat provides administrative support to Cabinet and the National Security Council.
The Protocol Unit advises government on the handling of local and foreign dignitaries.
The Immigration Appeals Tribunal holds weekly meetings to hear appeals against Immigration Department decisions concerning work permits, Caymanian Status, permanent residence, business staffing plans or appeals for political asylum.
The Temporary Housing Initiative oversees the provision of temporary housing for low-income persons who lost their homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan in late 2004.
The Policy Coordination Unit monitors international policy developments and provides technical support and advice on these to Cabinet.
The Public Relations and Community Services Unit – not that this office closed on 1st June 2011 although the Cabinet Office holds it’s records.
The Constitutional Modernisation Secretariat ♦ note that Constitutional Modernisation is closed, although the Cabinet Office holds the records.
The Freedom of Information Unit coordinates the implementation of FOI Law.
The Computer Services Department provides information technology services and support to all Government Departments.
Government Information Services provides communications and media advice across Government.
