The Office of the Complaints Commissioner is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Mrs. Netha Ebanks to the position of Administrative and Investigative Officer, a position formerly held by Mrs. Susan Duguay, effective November 1st. This role is the most senior in the OCC apart from that of Commissioner.
Netha Ebanks completed a B.A. at Brooklyn College in New York. She was working on an MBA in Accounting at Long Island University when she left New York to come to the Cayman Islands in 1980. She has worked with the Cayman Islands Government for over 27 years in Administration and Finance. She has worked with Education Department, Courts Office, Community College and the Department of Children and Family Services. The past 15 years she worked for the Department of Children and Family Services as the Administrative and Finance Manager.
Complaints Commissioner Nicola Williams welcomed the appointment. "Mrs. Ebanks has been in key roles in public service for almost 30 years, and brings a wealth of experience - particularly financial - that can only benefit this Office. Her references and stellar employment history marked her out as an excellent candidate from a qualified field, and I am delighted to have her join my team."
